Charlotte C&E gun and Knife Show.12th ,13th Feb. Whose going?

Who among NC or nearby knife and gun nuts are going? I plan to come down ;baring bad weather. More normal Carolina weather musT be on the way!Hope to see NC knife nuts again!
 
I'll be there. The normal plan is for the NC Knife Knuts to meet at Tim Langston's table at 9 AM on Saturday.
 
Count on me! Dexter also said he could make it.Ivan,it will be good to see you again.Start making your plans for the Blade Show 1st weekend in June.

I made my reservations at the Days Inn near the show. Lets hope a thaw develops up and down the East coast!looking forward to seeing you Carolina Knife Nuts!
 
I go to about all the gun shows in charlotte at the metrolina fairgrounds so I`ll probably be at this one it the weather doesn`t stop. I gotten some pretty good buys on knives. Only problem is you can never find any of the latest knives that are on the market. They seem to always run about 6 months to a year behind on new models. But I`ll probably go anyhow.

I'm up for it!! i hove that the weather is good. who knows, maybe I can drag Tobii3 and we'll make a day of it. Do we want to meet anywhere? I would love to meet fellow forumites.

Generally, we meet at Tim Langston's table right after the show opens at 9:00am. He's a knife dealer in Building 1 - the one you'll enter after going in the gate. His table is on the second row from the far left wall, just about 30 feet down the row on your right. Tim is a short, stocky guy with a crew cut. The guy who works with him is a tall guy with dark hair, glasses, and a mustache. Dexter, Davidb415, and I will all be wearing our vests. Ahhh... I thought I recognized the name. I did indeed sell you that Wegner Jr. (What was I thinking?) I hope you're enjoying the knife. It looks like this show is shaping up to be the biggest yet as far as the number of forumites attending.

As for Tobias, I'm beginning to think he's imaginary. Heck, he's even given me excuses for why he can't come to the Blade Show in June. Something about his sister graduating or sumptin'... I mean, where are his priorities?

Oh man, I'm really in for it when I see you guys.

Sheesh, I tried to tell you guys it's a curse for me not to make the Blade Show!! And yes, my little sister is graduating on June 2nd!!

Now, I just have to break it to my wife that I can't possibly be here the weekend before Valentine's Day, I must go to Charlotte. Of course, this will probably end up in an argument again. I still haven't made it to a show!!! I'm de-toxing over here!!
 
Tobii (Dave): don't feel alone about the angry wife thing. We could have a good time, besides you I have never met another Forumite. I'm de-toxing also, it's a male mental hygiene break. How is the new job?

Won't make the Charlotte show, but I definitely make the Richmond show whenever it's here. If anybody makes it up this way, just sing really loud and we'll turn that mother out. Professor.

Ivan - We'll be staying at the <a href="http://www.hampton-inn.com/HotelInfo/hampton/property.html?page=HOME&pid=ATLCM/property.html?page=HOME&pid=ATLCM">Hampton Inn - Cumberland</a>. $59/night and about 3 minutes from the show. It's just on the other side of the mall from the show's location. Lots of other forumites (especially the NC gang) will be staying there as well.

I am 100% going to the show,but there are a few minor details i need to work out before i do go.

where is it?
when is it(what time)?
how much is it ($)?

and some extra info like what can i expect;i.e. i know knives are going to be for sale but who will be selling them? will they have good prices?

do they have a webpage?

Parking is free.

There are always three large knife dealers in attendance - Tim Langston, Confederate Cutlery (who usually has tables in all three buildings, and F&W Knives. In addition, there have been several other major dealers there in recent months. There are also several smaller dealers scattered throughout the three buildings.

As a general rule, the show prices are about as good as the cheapest internet dealers' prices are. You shouldn't be be disappointed. One thing though, you won't usually find the latest, greatest newest releases there as most of the dealers aren't "authorized" factory dealers. There is a wide selection of stuff from most of the manufacturers, some Chris Reeve stuff, Al Mar, etc...
