So unfortunately I had to send one of my "Charlows' back to GEC to have the blade tightened. It was the single spear blade in Ebony. One of my favorites and one Im carrying today. As you can see, I can now see daylight around both sides of the spring. So if you send any in to get repaired it may be something you would ask them to check after tightening a blade. This is not intended as criticism of GEC, they do a wonderful job and I will buy many more of their knives before Im done. Just something to keep in mind.

Send it back again. Make em get it right. Or, fill the gaps with "Silly-Putty" and call it good or just let it go. Do you actually notice the gaps with the knife in hand while using it?

I've got one Boys Knife and two Tom's Choice 2-blade Barlows - all three pieces with ebony covers and they are all tight, tight, tight!!!!

I dont think Im going to sweat it. I have about 9 Charlows now. Just going to use it and enjoy it.

I cant tell if thats too much of a gap for me, but on my limited budget, I would send it back if I used it or not, maybe.
