I got back to my flat from grocery shopping this afternoon and there was a "missed delivery" tag on my doorstep. I see that familiar brown truck at the stoplight at the next block, so I duck inside and dump my bags. On the street again the truck is gone! Undetered, I jog to the corner and see it parked half a block up the hill with its blinkers on. I get to the truck at the same time the driver is finished at his next customers door, so he turns around to see me standing there with the tag in my hand and a grin on my face. I think I skipped home with the package, here's what was inside -

Redwood Burl Inlays, double thumb lugs, and please note the polished clip inserts to match the scale.

It has been a long time since I recieved a package from Boise, and I have to say the works keeps getting better and better. Thanks to Bridget and Stephanie for the patience and understanding, the entire staff at CRK for making such a great product, and Anne and Chris Reeve for being in a Class By Themselves!

I didn't know polished inserts were available. Is this a normal item that CRK has or is this something you had them do special? I wouldn't mind having one of those for my small classic woody.

I asked for the clip inserts to come installed, I didn't know they would be polished until the knives came today. Very nice touch, only the Woods have the back part of the handle polished, it must have stood out with the blasted version and somebody decided to "clean it up". The kind of attention to detail I appreciate, to say the least.

HOT HOT HOT :)

That Redwood Burl is very impressive !

It's amazing how knife knut's minds work when we unfortunately miss a delivery ! The first thing that comes to mind is, "DAMN !" :( Then immediately. . ."I wonder where I can intercept that bastid at." :D

Nice additions stjames ! :)

Love it, love it! I've had my share of chasing down "Big Brown" also.:D

I would have ran to China to get that package!!!
The trouble with these knives is that you don't want to use them.
I love to carry my "woody's" but I always make sur I have at least one other sebbie with me in case I need a knife!

Funny story. I think we've all done similar. I know that I have. :)

Great looking knives! Now I know why you did what you did to get to the brown truck.

Thanks guys, I'm glad I'm not the only one who'd end up running down the street waving the tag. :) If he didn't have a stop a block and a haf away he would have been long gone with me in the dust...

I have to say this is one of the nicer pairs I've gotten from CRK, last years Box Elder were real nice, though.
