There has been an incident in the chat room. NO NAMES will be mentioned, however the situation is being brought up b/c it WILL NOT be tolerated.

Someone logged in to the chat room last night under my name. This members IP address is being banned from chat. To make things convenient for everyone chat is set up so you don't have to have a password, but if you're caught logging in under someone's name, other then your own, you WILL be banned.

There is too much on the line for some of us, which is why this behavior will not be tolerated. If you can not act like an adult, or should I say use common sense, don't log in there.
 
If you can't act like an adult, there's probably not a whole lot of room for you anywhere.

I like the chat room, so thanks for keeping it clean :thumbup:
 
Where is this chat room and why wouldn't you mention the offender's name? That is almost as bad as the actual offense... Whatever that was, why protect someone who is a jerk?


This can only lead to worse things down the road?

We know who it was and the IP address is banned.

There was no malicious intent on the offenders part and he was "joking around" but it's unacceptable.

If there were any risk or threat involved we would have taken further action but it's not needed in this case.

I understand your point Ron but in order to avoid a pileon and further problems were keeping it under hat.

i like it too. and i agree that you have to act like an adult. thanks for keeping it open Mrs. S :thumbup:
 
Unfortunately its very easy to circumvent having your IP banned. The next time your internet connection resets it IP, you can log back in :(
 
Malicious or not, it was a stupid thing to do and they should have known better. Good call, set a example that stupidity and humor are not the same.

Sometimes easy ISN'T good. I would use passwords if I wanted to protect my name. But I have nothing at stake just for those who do. :)
 
I think that a password system is just over protection. People SHOULD be old and wise enough to don't do things like that, but that's just my 2 cents ;)
 
We had something similar happen over at the WSS chat. We now have to login. too bad this stuff happens.
