Ken after reasearching post details on how to get on...like what shareware needed etc...Id like to chat too

The old servers were DALnet: Random Server & NEWnet: Random Server. They changed and went to irc.unitedusers.net. That server is eveidently gone. Hopefully Spark will see this and give us an insight as to what happened.
 
I wouldn't expect it from Spark -- the irc chatroom has no real connection to Bladeforums (some of the same people, that's all). Somebody who's involved in it will see this, I'm sure....
 
I got in through Freenode (irc.freenode.net), in fact I'm in the chat room right now. I think some of the instant messenger clients have IRC capabilities.

So a quick and dirty configuration would be:

1) Add an IRC account in your Instant Messenger Client (AIM, Yahoo, etc) if you can. If your IM does not support IRC go get a program like mIRC.
2) Choose a nickname and some alternates, you won't get in if you pick one that someone else is using. Though you "should" be prompted to give a different one.
3) Choose Freenode as the server, should be able to choose it from a list.
4) Once your actually on Freenode, you need to find where you can join a chanel, in this case #Bladeforums.com OR you can simply type
/join #bladeforums.com (there is a space between /join and #bladeforums.com) and hit your enter key.

Hopefully that will get you there.
 
well i tried the freenode one and found yam one night, but no one else so i tried the new net thing and it think it took me to the noo.bz place, but as of yet no one.
