Ok so its not really that cheap but I got a Cold steel Rajah not too long ago and ill be honest, Its kickass. Ive got my share of zero tolerance and Busse and kin, but for 80 bucks, this is a hell of a giant folder. Cold steel is not so bad if you know where to look. Also its a good preformer it cut as good or better than a few of my much higher priced knives, it just didnt hold the edge as long.

Factory edge was pretty decent but I gave it a good once over.

Any one else like the Rajah?

yep. I love mine!

I thinned out the edge on mine as well, it cuts MUCH better now. I also hand sanded mine with 600 grit paper to get rid of the bead blast finish so it's less of a rust magnet now... :D

AUS8 will take a very fine edge, it's very fine grained so it will get EXTREMELY sharp.

]Ive noticed a small amount of rust developing myself. You think its the bead blast finish? Has it been better since getting rid of it?

The Rajah 1 and 2 are great if you like large heavy duty folders. Enjoy the beast and thanks for the pics

Yeah, the sanding helped with keeping rust at bay a little bit, as well as lots of 3 in 1 oil rubbed on the blade.... :D

What I've found is that any of my beadblasted knives (4 total, I think) have been more prone to rust spotting and holding rust on the blades than my knives with other blade finishes. Just my experience, yours may vary.

Very nice looking knife if a bit on the wild side. I have a couple of Tri-Ad lock folders and love them. Was planning on ordering a Rajah myself but decided I needed an SRK instead...the Rajah is on my birthday list though! Thanks for the pics.
