Cheap and/or easy way to get a 110 with NS bolsters?

I'm looking for a cheap and/or easy way to get some 110's with NS bolsters for a project. I could do it with one, but i'd love to find 4. Anyone know a good way to find 110 NS bolsters for, say, under $40 each?

I've found some customs on ebay for ~$55, but I hate to take decent looking knives like those and just chop them up. There is also a 25th anniversary edition on the bay right now for a low price, I keep hoping it stays low...

Anyone have any good ideas or sources?

I'm already taken (married for 8 years), or I would at least give it a shot. Man, I hope this whatabeaut stays clear of my 25th anny knives.

Good thing I already got a source on the blades for these :)

I could have had a 25th Ann knife last week for $5, needed a blade and was hard used. Passed since I don't have the time for a project right now. Would have got it for another forum member but with shipping I didn't think anyone would be interested.

Looking for knives to do blade swaps and replace the handle material on, and i'd really like at least two of them to be Nickel Silver bolsters.

If anyone sees a NS bolstered 110 for under $20, please let me know. At $5 its probably worth it to ship no matter where you are. I will be replacing the scales and blades on these, so their condition does not matter. Just made a deal on the blades, I have the handle material, just need some NS bolstered 110s and i'm set.

I've found some nice looking 110s on the bay with NS, but their prices start at $55 and the handles look great. Some kind of multi colored wood on one, and white pearl on another. I'd hate to spend $55 and them knock those nice handles off. If I could find a 25th anniversary with a broken blade, it would be ideal.

If I get a chance to go back to the shop and get it I'll ship it to you, shouldn't be more than $5 to ship it. It's well worth it if (like you) you have a project in mind.

However, I'm on the road this week and I'm not sure when I'll be able to get back to the shop.

I'll let you know if I can make it happen.
 
The last 25th ann model I found on that auction site went for $67. I'm almost better off with a custom shop order.

Any more broken blade 25th anniversary models out there? What a great piece of luck finding this one ohen cepel. I got it and its perfect.

Its not done, needs to be fit better, and just has a temporary brass pin holding it, but here is the knife with the new blade:



I was planning on new scales also, but I like the looks of this one as-is. I might just pin it with nickel silver and be done.

Ok, the first one is done. Its a user, not a safe queen, and I think it is going to fit the role quite nicely.

The blade is a bit proud on its matchup to the the lock here, but its not too far off:

I did a 112 with black linen Micarta, and really like the look. With a slabside 110/112, the linen doesn't stand out; but on a rounded 110 like yours, linen Micarta does look good... :)
 
If I find a nice one i'll let you know Dave. I'm mostly looking for another one that has been beat around a bit so I don't feel so bad messing with it :)

purt much same reason.. practice body..
i can take a one with beat up bolsters and have it look good,,,
takes me a while... but can do..
