heya all, i just picked this up at kitchen collection for 4.99 .......figured it could be a beater kitchen knife if it was no good,.

im always on the look out for good boning and fillet knives, well anyway this one came pretty sharp out of the gate, so to speak. its a hamilton beach high carbon stainless, bout 6 inch blade with nice flex to it with rubberized ? handle.

anybody had any experiance with this thing, good or bad?
so far im pretty happy with it for a penny under five bucks.

i like to bone my own deers and stuff out, so if anybody does know of a good boning knife let me know...........

Well for under 5 bucks, if it works, then fine. It looks ok, but the steel quailty is unknown. For a boning, or fillet knife a simple rapala, or even a coldsteel fillet knife will work great. There around $20, can't go wrong

Forschner knives are used by many professional meat cutters, and are surprisingly cheap.
