Cheap but effective horizontal carry for Izula

Hey I was going to post pictures, but I think I can explain it with out them.

I have a few izula's, I like to go from neck carry to horizontal. I had some issues with clips, mainly added bulk if used as a necker under a shirt. I saw someone posted about "Ranger Bands". It gave me a thought.

So I just created a giant 3 inch ranger band (bike tire tube). Slipped it over the Izula sheath and still have my paracord attached to the sheath at the point. So if I want to horizontal carry on the belt I just run my belt thru the ranger band and in-between the sheath. I stuff the paracord on the other side of the ranger band and the sheath.

It been pretty sturdy, the sheath doesn't slip around.

I've used them as traction with 550 loops( stop from slipping on belt) never tried to use just the bands...cool idea!

There used to be elasticized nylon horizontal belt sleeves for that type of carry, they work extremely well.

You can take your paracord and instead of tucking it in somewhere, you can lay that parallel with the belt and cow-hitch it to a belt loop and when you draw the Izula, it will pop out of the sheath and the sheath will be left dangling.

What? This is worthless without pics! J/k, good idea. I wish I had bought stock in bike innertubes.

I often carry my izula horizontally near my belt buckle. I just mounted a teklock on the factory sheath.

Good idea! I like ranger bands for alot of stuff. Unfortunately, the Mrs. is deathly allergic to natural rubber and latex so I can only use it when she's not around.

It's kinda cool, it's like garlic to a vampire, I have a necker on with a rangerband around it, she walks close to me and sees it and covers her face and starts hissing.
