This was $7 and change, shipping included.

Blade is stainless, cutting edge is 3.5" and the OAL is 8.5." No wiggle at all. None. Steel liners.

The blade came perfectly centered. I was surprised at that.. It's also very sharp. When i was doing a little arm shaving, the hair was just kind of hopping on to the blade. The tip is sharp enough for a phlebotomist. It's a pinpoint.

It's just a simple slipjoint and the lock up is strong. It opens strong with a click you can hear and feel. But closing it really astounded me. Once it reaches about 45 deg. it just slams home with a surprisingly loud snap.

I like the way it looks too. I think the bolsters are pretty cool and the pins are brass? and flush.

Been eating a lot since i got it. Cured sausage, cheese, apples, melons and so on are a joy to slice with it.

All in all, i'm very pleased with it. For less than $8, i'm ecstatic.

Cheap and Chinese? Yes. Junk? No. It's a decent knife.

Nice. I too enjoy some $7 knives from China. In fact, it appears that yours and mine are the same brand (Rite Edge) ;) .

I've always had an affection for folding stilettos. The top one is in it's original condition. The other two are ones that I customized. Both converted for one-hand opening. The bottom one converted for one-hand closing as well. Open length is 11". The two I customized are two of my prized possessions. Even more valuable to me than my knives that cost $300.

Good eye. It is indeed a Rite Edge.

I think i'm going to check out some more of their knives. If yours and the one i got are indicative of their quality control, i'll take another shot at a Rite Edge. No matter what, it ain't going to break the bank.

Nice job on making those one-handed openers, by the way. Very cool.

I got a little Rite Edge fixed blade for Xmas. Fit on the handle scales leaves a bit to be desired, but for a full tang fixed blade to toss in your glove box you'd be hard pressed to get more bang for your $15 or so.

Would definitely check out another rite edge knife in the future

Thanks. Quality on the stilettos is hit and miss. At $7 a piece I bought five in the hopes that maybe one or more would be good. And I was right. Out of the 5, 3 were decent (2 were customized).

I just received as gifts two Chinese folders.. an Ganzo G712 and an Enlan E01B... both great knives, decent steel, good grip G10, great ergonomics and lockup, nice jimping, smooth to flick and really sharp...

The Chinese are really stepping up their game nowadays...

I can certainly appreciate a high value inexpensive knife. The Enlan EL-01 is a great example. Love mine. Some of the offerings from Kershaw are great as well, especially since they come with the backing of a great company and warranty. The Tremor only cost $25 shipped and was a hell of a deal.

You have to be careful when giving some companies credit. That Ganzo is a sized down direct clone of a Benchmade 860 and counterfeits their patented and trademarked axis lock. I believe the Enlan is 8cr steel but do we think Ganzo, a company that rips off other companies, is using 440c? Not sure if you knew this information or not. Many don't but should.

I've said it before but I will repeat anyway. The Japanese camera industry was founded on copying German cameras. In many cases the Japanese improved on the German designs. I'm not taking sides on the ethics of Chinese cutlery makers--make your own decisions. I'm just pointing out that Canon, Nikon and other Japanese photography industry giants were once doing the same thing as Ganzo.

The difference being we are talking about our own little corner niche market, the knife hobby. Also, I can't think of a German camera brand. There sure are a ton of Nikons and Canons around though. Will benchmade one day be that German camera brand that no one has heard of?

On topic, looks like rite edge has a more clip point version of the same looking knife. Might be worth picking up.

I bought one of those $4 walmart knives for the heck of it. Looks almost identical to a Enlan M028. Blade details are a bit different. Handle and clip are dead-ringers.

Glad you can think of them but I can't.

Anyway, I'm done with this off topic bit. I thought I would let a poster know about ganzos practices because many might not know.

All y'all may feal fine buying cheap rip offs of nice knives but I do not ......

People like Pete Kershaw Leo de asis Lynn c Thompson and countless others founded great company's supporting the knife market with great knives

People like Ethan Becker Harold Carson aka kit Carson bob dozier Ed shcempp Peter Carey and countless more designed great knives to support company's like those mentioned above

All this for what to get a Chinese company to copy there design with sub quality components and sell it for a profit taking away from said businesses and designers earlier?

I will NEVER support a knock off company knock off designer or knock off brand to save money... NEVER....

It would be nice to see more paid memberships. What is it, like 10 bucks a year?

Thx for telling us all about the brand I bought a Ganzo and then learned bout the real axis and never bought another one because of BLADEFORUM teaching me bout knives and the real axis benchmade

I've an Enlan M028 and find it a good, well made knife. Sharpened up nicely (but I still prefer RRs and Colts).

And what exactly does that have to do with the topic of this thread?
