Cheap Display Case

Anybody got any secrets or ideas on how to make or find a display case suitable for 6-10 knives. Preferably with some kind of way to see them, but not have them instantly grabbable by anyone just walking by. The emphasis is on relatively cheap. Maybe something made for another use like a cabinet or something. Anyway, I hope someone can help me.

Last weekend I was shopping for a frame at the local craft store and discovered "shadow boxes" in a large selection of choices. Some were finished (oak and cherry), unfinished, some with deviders some without, some with kits to make your own devider sizes. They all looked excellent and were within $10 to $40.
