Hi,I am new to the forum, but I was wondering if there is a website for handles for the gryptilians both large and small ones?thanks

Just stick with the ones they come with. They're lightweight, strong, grippy, and don't cost anything extra!! I've EDC'd my full-sized Grip for over a year and a half and haven't ever had a problem with them. Save the cash and get a second cool knife! IMO!

The Grips were made to fit a price point most of us can afford, and then we get the Axis lock and a good blade as is used on the 551. Replacement scales are cool but wipe out any savings. A friend from the Benchmade Forum drove over his Grip and had little or no damage to the knife. That says a lot about the stock scales. If none of this matters seek out Keyman who does excellent work.

Another vote for stick with the factory scales. I don't know of another knife that feels better in my hand than a Griptilian.

Either way Griptilians rock.
I have some with OG scales and some with G-10 scales made by Bladescales.com, I like the Grip with either handles.
The factory handles are extremely durable, light weight and offer outstanding grip. The G-10 Bladescales.com makes a knife I already love a bit nicer aesthetically as well as increase strength.
Here are two with G-10 and two with factory scales.

There are some great scale makers here at BFs; Keyman, Igored and Death of all Things are all BFs members and do outstanding work.

The only decent quality cheap handles are the factory issue handles. Everything else is going to get you into at least a C-note.

I could, I am finishing up my construction season until November 1st.
I get plenty of emails and often tell people to use you and igored for certain benchmades as well as Spketch.
I have not done more than (7) jobs since March besides sharpening for a few friends on here. My surgery really put my plans on the back burner. I even purchased a set from him for 80 bucks. Tan medium texture G10 with green liners and spacers for 80$ shipped.
I would charge 120+ I am sure.
Boy do I miss doing scales. My shop is finished but I am at a stand still with my wife in college and the two babies at home with me. Today was the first day in day care for both of them. Two years waiting for an opening!
I particularly enjoy your work.
I am finished with a mini mill table I built for my drill press. It will save alot of time and allow me to do some fly cutting and end mill work.
I dont use a dremel ever, but I really need one for different scale styles and contouring.
My shop consists of a drill press, band saw, Router table and a nice two speed buffer for steel and plastic. I use a Bridgeport at a buddys when needed for inset liners.
But not until November.
Then I can do what I love once again. I hope it would be ok. I would like to contact you just to exchange an idea and get some ideas for different techniques in manufacturing them.
Matt

Now that would depend on what you are looking for.
I thought you yourself were making scales Bella, You don't do griptilians?

I'd like to have soon a couple of scales, one for a mini and one for a regular one.
And all my possible of choices makers are here... What a show!
:)

Maybe the OP should clarify what he considers "cheap." Perhaps he just means less expensive than Wilkens? ;)

I agree. Cheap is not objective measure.
And all the examples here are not cheap but just damn good!
:)

Aftermarket scales for the Griptillian are going to end up costing you as much or more than the knife. The logical thing to do would be to just use it as is, but that logic usually goes out the window if you really like knife :D

Well put, if you really like it, it will be better with some G10, carbon fiber or wood.
