Who makes Hk knives and what quality are they? I am seeing them on ebay but no manufactuer. I'm thinking China. Thanks

Hk knives are made by boker,at least the first versions were. the ones with the skeletonized pocket clip, thumb stud similar to the usp mag release, tanto & drop point blades with the x15 steel are boker.as far as the new generation im not sure. the handle material is real cheap, has a real plastic toy feel to it.the liners are not too hefty, either.handles are similar to those boker gemini knives.

Thanks for your replys, I've looked at a HK-21 survival knife with compass and other items in the pommel. Bought one cheap on ebay. Guess I'll live with what shows up. My normal knives are puma's, german eye's, and camillus brands. Hope it ain't too cheap for a user.

Looks like U.S.A. to me.

Steel frame , G10 "handle's" , it isn't that cheap either.

I got one exactly like that, 154cm steel, it's a great medium sized knife with axis lock, very confortable and overall high quality feelling.

hey,

I got one exactly like that

I hope to have one somewhere this week.

And i will compare the H&K [14210] with the SOG mini X-ray vision.

And I think I will know the outcome allready.

Well , it's in the house.:) It came lightningfast across the "pond".

And, it's great , solid build ,with very nice details.

When I compare it to the Sog mini x-ray vision ,witch is over a year old now, they are about the same size.

-Sog has a partly serrated blade with a tanto shape,H&K has a plain blade with a "drop point". I prefer the "plain one" ,because of the lenght [short]of the blade.

-The material of the handles;G10 on the H&K , Zytel on the Sog. The are both nice to hold, and the Zytel on the Sog is still unscratched after a year of use .So no advantage for one or the other ,yet.

-the blades ; ATS 34 on the Sog versus 154CM on the H&K.Both good steel type's.

-The locks; Arc versus Axis. There both super. The H&K feels more sturdy do.But 'flicks" allso a bit harder.

-The "clips"; IMO, I like the Sog's the most. Low profiel type. And allso a bit more sturdy than the H&K/Benchmade type.

And I think I will know the outcome allready

I like the H&K very much, and it will be my next EDC, but if it had a low carry clip it would be absolutely superb. So Benchmade guys, Let us pay an extra dollar or so and put in an extra low carry clip ,so we {the customer} can make up our own minds what to put on the knive.

Well, that it for now guys and dolls.

Update : After a few weeks the H&K is just as smooth as the Sog , but with no "play' what so ever.

It's such a lovely knive.:)
