Because I'm a tool junkie, I tend to keep looking at the local papers and internet ads even though I don't need a lot more, nor do I really have room for any more tools.

This weekend I came across these two local adds that I thought I'd pass on to you guys:

There's also a couple cheap vertical mills listed this week:

I have no affiliation with any of the sellers, just passing along the info. I've already got a pretty unique small Hardinge lathe and a worn but serviceable manual Bridgeport, so I'm already covered in these categories. I did call the guy with the lathe listed with almost no information in the recycler. The guy owns a brake shop and doesn't have a clue as to what machine he owns. It seems he bought it and never learned to use it. He did say it's heavy duty, not like a Craftsman hobby lathe. I'm gonna go see it on Wed night just in case it's a nice Monarch 10EE that he's selling for $300. If that's the case, you'll see a nice little Hardinge for sale soon :)

I cant tell from the pic what the ways look like on the $1300.00 Bridgeport, but it's knobs and levers are more intact and it's table seems less beat up than my old BP which I paid a bit more for. I did get some good tooling and a couple vices with mine too, but this looks like a good deal if you're local.

Just an FYI in case anyone is looking.

Oops, it appears that the Recycler site doesn't want me linking to a specific listing.

Go to www.recycler.com , then hit the Home Improvement link. Then hit the Machinery link. You'll have to scroll down a bit, but the machines are there.
