A Kasumi VG10 knife touched up on a scrap 2x4" plank with red and white compound and oil. The knife had 6 months of wear and a few nicks. The reason why i used wood instead of leather for this stropping is that i did not want to convex the edge. I have not seen this method of stropping on-line but abrasive on a stick has been used fore hundreds of years to touch-up scythe´s.
