I made a relatively good thrower(handle for 1,2,3 rotations or blade for 1/2 rotation) from a cheap pakistan bowie knife I picked up off ebay(similar to this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1143919634 ). bust the wood part off the handle, remove the small turn down at the base, remove the hand guard, remove edge, take a little bulk off the top and bingo, there you go. Happy throwing.
