I'm not sure if this is in the right place.I just figured I'd let you know about this sale here .I've never owned any Camillus knives, but I think some of you may be interested.

If this is considered SPAM,it is not intentional.I was just letting everyone know about this sale.I don't work for them or know anyone who works for CTD.

Moderators, please let me know if this is not allowed & accept my apologies for my ignorance regarding the rules.

I used to be a USENET Spam Cop. Infamous, actually. Googleplex it. :) This seems perfectly OK. You're not employed by them, are you? LOL

CTD is a great company. I've ordered lots of stuff from them over the years. From the same town that brought you Nastia Luikin, overall Womens' Olympics Champion.

Buyer beware, however: Knives produced at the Camillus factory during the End of Days period are notoriously shoddy. (Why, it's as if the people working there stopped caring, toward the end <snicker>.)

No deal spotting

Yes, we know you found a great price on the Ninja Disembowel 4000 at SuperPriceMART. We don't care. We'd prefer you support the dealers who support BladeForums.com.

As such, we don't allow deal spotting because otherwise the forums would be a quagmire of "deals" (real or imagined) posted everywhere, or unscrupulous people posting "deals" for non paying dealers. So don't do it.

Auction / Deal / Bargain Spotting

This is a variation of the "no spam" rules that we have. We know you found a great deal on a Ninja Death Tool 3000 - we don't care.

If that dealer wants to advertise on BladeForums.com, encourage them to purchase a Dealer membership here instead of giving them free advertising.

This infraction can be issued as a warning and is worth 10 points towards your total. It expires in 12 months.

Wow. Didn't know that. I heard the same thing about Schrade. But, I bought one, anyway, and was pleasantly surprised. Hopefully, CTD looks at what they're selling.

Point taken. Wow, I've been out of it for a while. :)

Don't be too harsh, though.

Hard to say. I think it's luck of the draw. I had the good fortune of going to the Camillus factory during their first (and as it turned out only) sale at the factory -- they had tables in the hallways and the employees were there acting as clerks. It was a nice, happy memory of the place, and sadly, occurred just before their union disputes and other woes put them out of business. I've seen pictures of Camillus folders produced during that period of time just before the doors closed that had awful edge grinds and other problems because they were just being slapped together.

I've no idea if CTD would have any reason to look into the boxes and check the quality or not. After all, the knives can't be had anymore, so someone really wanting a Camillus piece produced by the Camillus factory would pretty much have no other option. (God forbid Taylor LLC buys the rights to the name!) They're a decent company who've never given me any trouble with my orders, but I don't know as I could in good conscience hold them responsible for not personally checking the quality of boxed factory knives.

Just edit your post for the link and name before, I happen to KNOW, because that was my first and last infraction. The same page was shown to me AFTER infraction. Just giving you a heads up.

I've also heard that some knives are now becoming available branded "Camillus", and looking like the original US-made models, but made overseas and having somewhat questionable properties.
