I had been looking into getting a old time slip-joint pocket knife when I walked into Erehwon Outfitters this afternoon and found my latest knife. A Buck Cadet #303. Three blades and a list price of $35.00...but I walk into store and it is on sale for $7.98 so I had to buy it. Walk up to register and the guy tells me it is on sale for 30% off which brings price down to $5.58 plus tax. How could I NOT buy it !!
Anyone buy a cheaper knife ?

Yes I have, but not with that kind of quality. I once purchased a cheap Chinese made Buck 110 knockoff for 4.99 Canadian dollars, but it was such a piece of garbage that I threw it out not long afterwords.

Made in China? Yes But I love the handle on this thing and for $6 it was a deal. I know how most of you feel about cheap China and Paki POS's, But I use this more than my high end knives, mainly B/C I don't care what happens to it, But Tony, You got a quality piece for the price I paid for this, Thats awesome:D

Latly I'v ebeen finding deals @ wal-mart, I got three great knives for cheap.

Bucklite 425 $11 CAD (Canadian)
Buck 525 $12 CAD
Scrade Nighthawk SP1 $13 CAD.

I was extremely willing to pay for them at those prices.:)

yes, I bought 8ea kershaw/kai gents knives. 4 with rosewood handles, 4 with pak. wood handles. They were one piece frames, two bladed and cost me $3.99 a apiece. I had originally bought them (well part of them) as groomsmens presents for my wedding, but did.nt need them as my wife and I had decided to elope to maui.

your buck deal was really good!!!!! :)

I go into the local Target store last year, and head back to the camping/sporting goods area. They do carry some decent knives(Victorinox SAKs mainly), but none of the big dollar stuff. I see some decent looking Victorinox Swiss Army knives. Out of curiosity, I take one of them over to the barcode scanner in the toy department to find out how much it will ring up(shelf wasnt marked). The scanner says $1.90! Now, this wasn't one of the big ones with gazillion blades or anything, but still, $1.90? ??? How could I not buy everyone of them? I ended up with about 20 of them. I gave most away to friends, but took a few to gun and knife shows and sold a few for something like $6 apiece. 300% profit or something like that, and the buyer still got a great deal. I love it when department stores screw up. :)

How come stuff like that never happens to me? Usually stuff rings up HIGHER than the shelf price.
