cheapest knife

I bought a $5 Made in Ireland folder that was from some US named company, Shrade maybe? It was pretty crappy.

Next would be an Opinel, for $6 and a huge one for $12.

After that was a dozier master hunter for $20.

Hey KL...

One of the cheapest knives I've bought has been a Frost Mora,,around $10.00..It also happens to be one of the best I've bought as well...

As far as Fallkniven getting Mixed reviews ???

I haven't heard anyone who actually owns a Fallkniven, and doesn't like it,,or has had 2nd thoughts about it...

They are Very good quality knives,,and you hardly ever see them up for trade...
When they are bought,,they are usually held onto...

Can't go wrong..

Fallknivens do get a few minor criticisms, although overall they are excellent knives. Some find the guards too small, although by Scandinavian standards Fallknivens have big guards. I have seen the F1 criticised for having too thick of a blade for fine work. Finally, there has been some criticism of the switch to laminated blades from solid VG-10.

But no knife is perfect and most aren't nearly as good as the Fallknivens. The Fallknivens are durable, made with great stainless steel, come with excellent sheaths, and are an excellent value (well, at least those made with solid VG-10).

For less than $20 this kabar is tough to beat. I don't buy junk butter knife steel knives.

cheapest in price: meyerco paradox, it was less than 5$ and has actually held up and worked great for the time i've had it. i've used it to slice boxes, cut parsley, cut the tangles out of a mop and anything that needed a good blade to fix it in the kitchen i work at.

cheapest in make: a landers (i think) green folding knife that looks like someone stamped it out of pot steel and never bothered to sharpen it, it was put together horribly too; the pivot pin fell out and the pocket clip broke the first day. i let my friend have it since he feels spending 30$+ on a knife is stupid, he broke the blade in half the first day trying to get into his house after locking the keys inside. my griptilian came to the resuce and took care of the door no problem.

The cheapest I have bought are Opinels, great knives!

I don't have any Fallknivens, but they seem like nice knives, and get great reviews.

I bought one of the SCHRADE knives made in Ireland"barlow" for around $5.00 and for the price I think it is ok. It cuts very well but doesn't hold an edge very long. I use it some for a beater.

I've SEEN (not bought) those Spyderco Delica (made in China) knock-offs for sale at $1.98, and even at that, it was too expensive.
