I'm looking into finally getting a leek, and I've decided I want the random leek. What's the least expensive you've seen them? Even used. I want one, and am willing to pay the $60 shipped or so, but if I can get one for a bit less I'd love it. I'm not exactly swimming in money, or even bathing in it.

I gave 20 bucks for one someone had used hard (or more likely abused) for about 3 months... sent it off to Kershaw to have the chips sharpened out and changed out the scales. It has been my EDC ever since. I lucked out though.

Nice job, J Curd, and spiralarchitect, you happen to know if your source has bought any more knives to be had?

Bladematrix is about 12 miles from me, and I am friends with the owner. If anyone has service issues let me know.

Ah, good to know, that makes me much more sure in purchasing from them, which I will likely be doing soon.

Sorry for the fuss, just that the 6 month rating was based on a single review. Where are you at, J Curd? I grew up in Hodgenville :)

Just wanted to comment on BladeMatrix's description of the 1660T...

This model Leek actually has a stainless steel handle, not aluminum, plus neither the blade nor the handle are coated with Chromium Nitride but are just polished steel.

They're obviously confused...

Ray :)

Yeah, I figured as much. But hey, if I have bad service J Curd can go beat up on the guy who runs the site, eh?

Check out the good bad and ugly forum on this website.

People have been posting on it for a while, so it's pretty comprehensive.

To add my two cents, I think knifeworks and new graham are absolutely top notch, wouldn't hesitate to order from them, and don't have a reason to go elsewhere.

Nice choice on the Kershaw!

Hold off.....Kershaw has has a new leek coming out. The Random Leek (1660TSW). This knife will mark the debut of 14C28N Sandvik steel. This will be worth the wait. MSRP $79.95

Nothing I know of, but, it does go to show that is you lurk in the exchange long enough you can get some awesome deals. Also, with Kershaw willing to sharpen and provide a spare part here and there and STR standing by for any of your modification needs you can build your perfect EDC on a budget.

He only carries a Kel-Tec P32, I'll be fine :)

In all honesty, got with their model numbers...if you went inside the store youd understand why the features arent accurate...they literally have just about anything a knife guy would want to look at or has read about on the internet.
