who sells the lowest priced Spyderco's on the web?
i want a G-10 Police but don't want to spend $120
for one ????

anyone ever brake a plastic handled Spyderco at the blade/handle junction, this seems like the place it might fail ????

feedback/responces appreciated.

thanks.

Hi!

Just checked the 1SKS, they have'em @ 102.99, and Knifecenter @ 99.95.
You get what you pay for :)

I can't imagine a FRN/plastic handle breaking at all, i've used/carried more then a few of those and i've never managed to break one.
On the older with the integrated molded clip i once broke a clip, this will not be a problem now as they have metal clips.

Hey! i just remembered that a friend from my ranger days broke his catcherman Spydie, he used it to split firewood and used a club to force it through...

I would say that the FRN bodied Spydercos will not break unless you do something that you shouldn't do with'em.

$92 sounds like a winner, I figured the G-10 serrated police would be the ticket. anyone have one/feedback ? might sell the Delica, I thought the G-10 would be sturdier for use as a weapon (can't carry the Ontario Gambler at work......just in case.

i should have known to check those 2 dealers, i was going to order from Galati International..........

there shipping charge was $14.95 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

are they kidding or what ?

yeah, I got those to you nice and quick because I am thinking about one. serrated:D also supposed to be easier to adjust the blade- had a SS that would not break in.

i'm glad i checked with you guys, $90 is the best so far, i didn't know that the stainless ones were so tight, i had a stainless Endura and the handle was to slick for me, the volcano grip is much more secure- haven't had any experience with the G-10 handle, the military also comes with micarta too i think. the stainless was just to heavy,
completely different feel..

Hi Joebe. Just a friendly reminder that we Ohioans can't legally carry concealed knives as "weapons." Governor Taft won't like you, and if anything ever came up in a court case, and the prosecution knew you posted on BF, they might do a search to see if you talked about using a pocket knife as such. (If you edit out your "weapon" words and you want me to get rid of my post, just email me.)

Fortunately, we CAN carry concealed pocketknives as "tools," although there are some grey areas as Ohio law isn't always the clearest. And if you happened to be attacked and lethal force is justified, and you can access your pocketknife in time...

Well, that would be just like any other "improvised weapon" wouldn't it?

Same-same, only different, get it? Cop stops you, and upon admiring your knife, asks you what it's for?:

"Cutting coupons, officer." (Or bagels, first-aid emergencies, boxes, artwork, odd jobs, etc.)

What are the chances your above posts would be used against you? I don't know. Better safe than sorry, IMO. I'm VERY careful (if not always tactful) about what I post here, though.

BTW, I think most Ohio politicians should be banished to the "Island of Vicious dogs, Multiple Murderers, and Feral, Man-squashing Elephants." And they don't get to carry so much as an expired keychain-can of original formula Mace for protection. And "Tyrant Taft's" armed bodyguards are turned into blood-sucking zombies who chase him and his anti-self-defense political cronies around the island for eternity...

Wishfully,

Karl

as a former cop in Ohio i am familiar with the common otrocities that are called justice in our courts, God forbid that an honest citizen would carry a weapon (after all what could you possibly NEED a weapon for), i am sure that the murderer/rapist/pervert/court official would never harm me. i am a former cop as i had to turn over the chief and mayor to the FBI for selling LEADS info, but those in charge would NEVER do anything wrong. ok. peace is love. relax.

hey, seriously, is there a legal length in Ohio ? i know they don't cover it in the academy. is it the universal under 4" ??

do you get a break if you are carrying the "POLICE" model (4 1/8" blade) ??

Just a reminder that Brian over at Discount Knives http://www.discountknives.com/ has a 10% discounting policy. That is, if you find a cheaper legitimate price (as long as it's not a clearance, closeout, sale, etc.), he will beat that price by 10%. You just have to provide him with the URL of the site with the lower price. I have bought a few knives from him and have always had good service. 10% off $90 puts you at $81.

the above e-mail site is great for prices, he quoted me at $75 for the military and police models, can't beat that...definitely should check out for low prices !!

I would think that being a former law enforcement officer you, should not get harassed for carrying any knife that you want to. You just might need that knife to cut some boxes, open a mail, or something else. :0
