I didn't realize titanium scaled knives could be so inexpensive, these are the ones I know of. Are there any other ones I should know about? Lets say... less than $65.00 and with a steel blade.

Timberline Vallotton Ti - $54.00

Ti, CF, Aus-8

Boker Plus Subcom Ti. $40 bucks. Even the pocket clip is Ti.

My hazy understanding is that Ti itself isn't terribly expensive (~ $10/lb, and a pound of Ti is a LOT of Ti) but the machining costs are higher than steel/aluminum. So it will scale down a bit along with everything else if you move production to somewhere cheaper.

I wish Boker would do a Ti Nano version for $60.

AG Russell 3.0 Titanium Lockback Folder - $42. It has a 2 1/4" VG-10 blade.

They also used to have one called the Ultimate Pen Knife that ran about $20. It looks like that has been discontinued though.

I LOVE this handy, well made little knife and the soft leather pouch it comes with. The AG Russell 3.0 Titanium Lockback takes up so little space in your pants pocket that I almost always have it on me along with my EDC of the day. Its also small enough not freak anyone out when you use it and it is made with VG-10 blade steel that holds an edge very well. Mr. Russell also offers this knife with carbon fiber scales as well as a few other scale materials. I bought an extra 3.0 Titanium Lockback for my wife to keep in her purse and use at her office or whenever needed...I wasn't going to give mine away. :D

Good luck finding the right knife for you!
