All,

Where can I buy very cheap, small kitchen knives? I'm talking utility / paring knives, quasi-disposable, with a cheapo plastic handle?

Thanks,

JD

Smokey mtn Knifeworks. Victorinox paring knives. 2.99- 3.99 3 or 4" . Good knives for the money. Vic quality. Not cheaply made.

I just got a Spyderco paring knife (not cheap or disposable but) for about $13 on ebay. Not sure what you need it for but the Spyderco cuts like a laser

SMKWs also has the Opinel paring knives on sell for 2.99 was 8.99
BTW,whos seen the front of the new SMKWs catalog? The Sog Black tie 1.A very ugly knife with a very goofy pic of Keven Pipes and Spencer Frazer.

The real bargain among cheap but quality paring knives has to be the Victorinox (sometime also sold as Forschner) paring knives -
even the retail price is only $4.50 for the standard plastic/Fibrox handled 3 1/4" knives - street prices are often lower -

top - bubinga wood handled version (#40006), lower: standard plastic/fibrox handle in red (#40601).

I've read posts where a carbon steel afficionado found their wife's cheapo Victorinox paring out performed their "favorite" in actual kitchen tasks.

I will put in anouther vote for the victorinox paring knives. These little knives cut WAY out of all proportion to their price. They are a GREAT value. They make great neck knives in a kydex sheath; inexpensive, light and cut like a light saber.
