Larry from Gallery Hardwoods is getting ready for the OR knife show. I just got back from looking over his selection of stabilized woods. WOW WOW WOW.
One of the things he's bringing up there Spalted Madrone. Not something you see everyday. Very dramatic, high contrast blond-brown patterns. When you get to the show, run in the door and buy some. I bought 4 blocks and by the time I got back I had wished I bought them all.
Another unique item is Buckeye burl with natural purple veins?!
