Larry and I setup the pipe threader and I mounted a 20 ton H press on the top. The H press still needs work. I think ( OH BOY!!!) I will be able to use it for making ladder patterns and cutting billets. The pipe threader works great (HEHEHEH!!!!) Right Beaver?? We twisted the end right off Larry's billet and it was the best part of it.

That's a pretty neat setup George. Now if you can figure how to make twisted Damascus without twisting it in two! ;)

No problem, that is why I did Larry's first. The learning curve.  :D HEHEHE!!!!

Hey, IG, cool setup!! Did you try keeping a torch on the billet while twisting? Local guy in south Wisconsin has two rosebuds set up on his pipe lathe to keep the billets hot while twisting. Pattern's so tight it's amazing.

Hey I.G., glad to see you put that to good use, it was on its way to the scrap heap! I'll have to get together with you and see it in action. I'll give you a call later in the week, and see if Pete is up for another lesson.(I think
we almost killed Pete last time with all the billet making!).

looks awesome IG, how's the knives coming along? i'm sure i'll be down later on this week. just warning you ahead of time

Got one done today and starting on the whale's tooth knife tomorrow. Had to watch Beaver to make sure he didn't burn anything. What day are you coming so I can make sure that I won't be home???? :p

Pete has to get one of those cool wraps or blankets. That poor OLE DUDE was sweating like a pig. Should be home on Saturday.

Dammit you guys are having way to much fun up there. Dang Yankees. No one to play with down here in hot as heck Texas. Ya'll need to pack up and move down South for the summer.

Maybe you can convince Bill Ruple to start forging, and then just go over there. :) Just a good hour or two away, ain't it?

That looks great IG. I'll be wanting to buy a piece of damascus from you some day in the not too far future.
