A little probject I've been planning for a while. And it finally came together. It's a unique look for a very practical little knife. Stripped, smoothed and sanded, acid etched and stonewashed.

(I've got some still pics but forgot to pull them off the camera. Video will have to do for now. It's available in full screen HD if you want to see detail.)

Can you describe what product you use for acid etching and the process involved. I too have been interested in acid etching.

Looks good! What did you you for the etch resist material?

I use PCB Etchant (Ferric Chloride Solution) to do the etching. Common nail polish makes a great resist I use that most of the time. For this one though I used Sharpie Paint Markers to draw the pattern.

Yeh sorry about the guy with the saw. I would have reshot it, but my indoor lighting sucks and the weather was crumby before and after. So I just rolled with it.

lol it's funny how Gav's duplicate of my etching tutorial now has way more views than mine which it's a responce to. Here's mine btw : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HU3upe0a94

...I should proabaly do an update with higher productions values and these tecnhiques i've developed over the last year doing this.
