Check out my goinggear.com fire kit review on Woodsmonkey!

Good review Jake!

I really like his firesteels and I also got 1 of his Peanut lighters; Very cool stuff!

Just a note on the lighters for you guys that are thinking of getting one; you do have to fill them up with fluid when you get it.

Thanks man!

Yep, thats a fact. They are great, bigger then the countycomm ones I have, and will stand up on end, unlike the earlier versions....

Ya know, im a fatwood fanatic, but the PJ balls really suprised me! They are good to go!!

AND, I was not blowin smoke, that firesteel is the best Ive ever used, hands down.

Nice job on the review J

I picked up one of his 3/8 misch metal rods and it's awesome.

J,

I like fat wood, but my favorite firestarters are PJ cotton balls and Super Cedar (www.scoutstuff.org). When my son was 7 he could start a Super Cedar with a match in a light wind, they burn forever...

Ive never used that super cedar before. I am gonna have to score me some to mess with!!

Great review! I bought some of those stand-on-end peanut lighters, and the ones that worked were great. Unfortunately, a bunch of mine were made poorly, taking them apart would rip out the wadding, o rings would come off almost by themselves, etc. I bought 10 (some for presents), and I got about 3 or 4 good ones.

I hope their quality control is better these days. When they work, they do work well. The lack of evaporation is a real plus.

J,

PM your addie, I'll chuck one in the mail for you to review...

Awesome!! Thanks man, id love to check some out and see how it stacks up.

That sucks man!! I dont know of the quality of them overall, but the one I recieved was top notch.

Ive had my peanut lighter for about 4 mo.s. It sill lights right up with the original fluid, highly recomended. Nice review.

I've had the same problem with the CountyComm ones, too. I only ordered one from GoingGear and it's not functioning.

I had Charlie Ridge put a handle on one of the thick 3/8 firesteels to put in my NWA forum knife sheath. One of these days I'll get some pictures up. I love goingear. Great stuff, cheap prices, fast shipping. And the owner is a nice guy.

Nice review, and thanks for the heads up on the dealer. It looks like he has some really nice stuff.

Hey, sorry about that. Send me a PM or email and I'll take care of it. Same goes for anyone else that has problems with any of my products.

I expected nothing less from you.
You are a stand up guy. I love that approach to custome service.

I've bought stuff from GoinGear/Storl in the past few months and he's great with Customer Service! Always takes the time to email if you have questions and wants you to be a happy customer. Kudos from me!

I ordered three of these kits on Saturday for myself and a couple of the guys at work and got them on Thursday. I finally got the chance to play with it today and shoot some photos for reviews on a couple of websites I post on.

This kit is well worth the $10.00. :D
