Inspired by forum member Sean K's cardboard sebenzas, I made myself my grail tonight just for a laugh. I love this knife! If only I could will it into being! It's hard to sharpen the cardboard, and the thing don't fold worth a dang.

Here is a Large Mnandi with a 3 1/2" blade as opposed to the standard 2 3/4". The blade is just a little bit shorter than a large Sebenza, and about 1/2 longer than a small Sebenza. I'd love to see one of these made.

That is a great idea. Maybe Chris may just deliver that.
 
A large, plain Ti Mnandi would be a cool knife and I would happily use one, but given it would just be a Sebenza with a different shape I don't see it ever happening. CRK don't like walking old ground where ever possible and that is all it would really be, a shame perhaps as it would indeed be a nice knife.

I'm sure you're right. The blade would be slimmer mind you, and if you stuck with the inlay it would be the full handle. Also the Mnandi is sort of liner-lockish in its build, with the covering scale.
 
Very cool!

I think it will fold though..just not the direction you want. Perpendicular to the pivot and not around the pivot.

It must have been sharp...Looks like there is some blood on your hand ;)
 
Cool, I would love such a knife - perfect EDC for me.
Kid, could you do a all Ti version for Haze? In colored cardboard please.
IIRC there should be a picture of the Ti custom inlay on this forum.

Hey, glad to see I'm not the only one nutty enough to make these mock-ups, lol. It's a good looking knife for sure.
 
Very nice looking Mnandi. The size is nice, it is nice to have a gentlemen's carry, but a little larger than many traditionals.
 
Nice work, you have some artistic talent there! I would be in for at least one if it was made, but I put the chances right around zero......

Thanks for checking this thread out guys. I think it would be a great seller if such a thing existed, but as most would agree, CRK is going to do their own thing, their own way, that's a given.
 
I love the mnandi but is tiny! Something about the same thickness but slightly longer would be fantastic.
 
You should take orders and payment for it. If you make and deliver one...that'll be one more than Scott Cook has delivered (after payment) of his Locsha as of late. His promise of delivering a Lochsa is a fantasy grail too :rolleyes:
