Well - I never thought I'd be able to post in this thread as having a custom knife, but I got mine this past week.

I was in TN on vacation last week hiking in the Smoky Mountains (pics to come in a different thread) and was able to pick up my spear point from the Graham brothers in person. They are GREAT guys and the knife is top notch. The sheath fits perfectly in the pocket and the knife itself is amazing. I haven't had a chance to really cut too much with it just yet other than arm hair :)

Here's some pics:

Sometimes a knife really makes a great impression right when you first see it. For me, this is one of those knives. I like it a great deal. I'm not usally fond of filework, but when used as a thumb ramp like was done in this case, I actually find that I like it.

Agree, the file work is more functional than decorative on this knife. Everything seems to fit perfectly.

Thanks!

Looks like it would be an excellent hard use knife. The spearpoint design provides the strongest of tips.
Congratulations and welcome to the world of customs.

Well, congrats on a very fine choice!

Its always great to get a custom directly from the makers, and Josh and Jon are two of the best guys in the industry.

I couldn't imagine a more practical and useful design myself. Unfortunately, you have now awoken a long dormant desire to own one of their knives.

My wallet is squealing like a pig! :D

You hit the nail on the head my friend. I'm already trying to figure out a way to get my hands on a stubby razel.

I've got a stars-n-stripes razel, but after feeling the handles they make I really want a razel with a full handle now.

I had a chance to play around with some of the folders they have also. These are truly amazing folding knives. The handle geometry is perfect and the blade design is as useful as they come.

I also had a chance to see a prototype folder and MAN I hope they produce that thing.

I owned a Razel SS4 for a while but decided it wasn't quite right for me so I traded it away. Its a pretty radical design.

It was extremely well made, so I've always wanted to get another item by them, and hummed and hawed between the spearpoint and the pocket kukri for a long time./ Unfortunately, the rest of the world had discovered them in the interim and they developed a massive backlog./

I see that is still the case. I guess the best bet is to attend a show if you want something by them now. I believe they are going to be at Blade, so best you start saving!

Myright. How long did it take you to get the knife? Were you on their waiting list long? Right now they arent currently taking any new orders. And too late for me, I really want one.
