I just made this gadget this afternoon and it works great and now profiling is alot quicker for me. No more messups with an unsteady hand. You only get one angle out of it for profiling but it's an angle that I like using on all my knives. So changing angles doesn't really matter to me. You can see in some of the pics that the bevel is scratched in certain areas. I messed up here in the past when I didn't know what I was doing
(Like rushing and not having a steady angle). The angle is permanently set to about 14-16 degrees on each side. Hope you guys like it!
Man, I must be crazy or excited posting this late/early. The truth is I couldn't figure out how to resize these darn pictures so, finally, here they are (and I wish this camera had better focusing. The camera kept focusing on the reflection of the blade and wouldn't let me snap a clear shot of the bevel, oh well). Here's the best snapshots I got...
