I had Buck put a satin finish on my Buck Strider 880. Joe Houser and Buck Knives did a stellar job! Thank you Joe Houser and Buck Knives.
I have posted before and after pics (images are large so be patient on a dial up connection, it's worth the wait).

Looks nice, though I really like the original beadblast finish. Took one kayaking once and got it thoroughly wet, no rust problems even 10 hours afterwards.

How much did it cost to have it satin finished?

Cool... Did they charge a fee for that? My personal Strider 880 has had serious lockup issues since the day that I got it [i.e. I can see air between the liner and the tang where the lockup is supposed to take place :(]... It needs to go back for warranty service anyway, and if I could get that finish at the same time it'd be cool and make the hassle of mailing it and waiting more worthwhile and tolerable.

The satin finish looks great. I'm not a major fan of a beadblast finish...like to see the steel. Were the liners also refinished?

Who can I contact at Buck to put that kind of finish in my knife?

go to the buck forums and leave a message for joe houser, he will take care of ya, used to have his email, but lost it when my PC crashed a while back, they did my 880 also, blade and the clip, looks great, now need to get the liners anodised.
