what do you HOGS think of the magnum tan micarta on my skinny ash? the coating is desert sage. i think this make a awesome combo:cool:

ps: this is "out of the box" with nothing added to the micarta! :eek:

I think it looks great. So are you going to send me one like that or the one with the black micarta that I ordered? Either one will do. :D

Man, that is sweet... I have 3 Fat ones and 2 skinny ones... Do I need a third SkinnY?


EDIT: Skunk'r, Is this the same thickness as the LE? Blade thickness and Handle thickness? Trying to decide if I can use either of my LE sheaths on one of those...
 
Is that tan micarta linen or canvas?

It has been darker on the Tan SARsqaush and a few others I've seen lately. I know the SARsquach in Black had a darker linen, the CE had a much lighter canvas.

Linen might be the reason there darker:confused:

Man I must be bored, It's not like it matter's which it is:p


edit- after all that Nevermind...looked again and it looks like canvas....or linen???

Little bird told me that this last tan canvas batch was/is darker than some previous ones.

After getting my unoiled SARsquatch in tan, I believe it. :thumbup:

The black / black Squatches are linen micarta.

I believe it's canvas. Just darker. I'm not positive though.

Some of the older Busses had darker tan micarta.

Here are the approximate blade thicknesses:
skinny - .188"
LE - .225"
regular - .320"
