Check out this Bench Vise..Parker 79X..

Well I went out for dry ice(heat treating today) and came home with this Parker 79X vise..Its almost pristine..Im usually pretty good about spotting refurbs on tools and I truely believe this may be original paint..Screw in imaculate and their arnt even any scracthes around the mounting holes..Full checkering still on the jaws..

It was one of those "Dad had it in his barn for longer than I can remember but never used" stories..It weighs 160 pounds..Just curious for you vise experts, what do you think the going price is for one like this?

Take care of the vise jaws since they are an unusual design and would be very costly to replace. Great to add some old American goodies to the shop.

Man that's one helluva find if you ask me. I'm no expert but one would assume that's worth several hundred dollars. Who knows. I'd like to see what an expert would estimate it at. Great find

I see Chas Parker vises for sale occaisionally. I was offered one like yours, but not as pristine for $150. I regret not buying it.
Since then I've seen them up to $400 and they are usually the smaller Chas Parkers.

Nice pickup Kentucky. The great thing is those jaws open WIDE.
