Wow, that's a beauty! I'm not sure if I've ever seen that blade config before, with can and bottle opener at the same end. Do you know a model number for it?

Dave

It don't have a pattern number and only the master blade is signed.

Ah, ha...
I see you're already here. :)

As for this knife, I'm sure others will chime in here, as there are many knowledgeable folks that frequent this forum. I'm personally not too sure about a mirror polished master blade on this knife? Maybe a cobbled/redone knife? It is interesting though.

Anyway, welcome to the Schrade forum.

Flylock,

Very nice looking piece. The blade placement looks all wrong though. I agree with DLK. Usually, I have seen the punch in the same spring line as the master, and the can opener and bottle opener blades on the other spring line.

The master blade looks more like a design used alot in the Schrade Cut co years, but the can opener is the newer design. It could be real, but nothing like any I have ever seen. There is also no bail on it, very curious. I'm at a loss...

Maybe LT could chime in with his .02. BTW, how did this turn up?

Very neat piece anyway, thanks for sharing.

I was just looking at the easyopen notch, is that for the punch? The punch does not appear to have a nail nick or groove on this side...

Weird, I can't see any silicone on it anywhere... ;)

That knife is so wrong that it is amazing. The blade marking dates it at pre 56, nothing like that ever existed then. It is a newly stamped blade. materials are wrong era, wrong shield polished blade bad stamping. Those stampings for that era were especially deep and nice. Smokey and taylor own this marking as they do several old companies however most of the remakes have been hitting the bay and advertised as newly made knives. I do not know what the ad says on this abortion but to each his own. It may legally be marked Schrade Walden and may be a good user knife but it dang sure is not an original. That is my 2 cents worth. LT PS the reason you do not see silicone is because they are offering a newly made knife not a newly rebuilt wife.

Took a lot of imagination to put that together. Not long ago I posed the question to LT about fake Schrades. Not I see one.

Where did you come across that, flylock??

Phil

Here is one of the Taylor Sch**** Waldens. I am still not sure who contracted these from TB LLC.
