Hi!

While in Bosnia summer-99 i learned that they (Bosnians) had a FAE munitions (Fuel Air Explosive) called UDAR. (which of course was the dream of all us EOD guys to eventually find one)

And it was a bounding mine!!

total weight was around 40 kgs, weight of charge was about 20 kgs!

And if you get 500 of these activated at the same time it would have an equal destructive effect of a nuclear blast which would be equivalent to 1kt TNT...
VERY effective for self-defense..or maybe not...

Was it the BLU-32 that the airforce used to push out the back of cargo planes? Actually caused "mushroom" clouds. Caused a lot of rumors of nuclear weapons being used.

Cute gadget. UDAR is not only the acronym for the device, "udar" is also a Russian word, meaning a "blow" or "strike" or "hit".
