Look at what I just picked up! I don't carry folders anymore but still keep a slippie with me at all times. Its the top one, English Jack pattern.

Its killer huh. I love one bladed jacks and this one will get some serious pocket time.

Looks good man. I carry a case slip joint with me most of the time. I have really gotten away from carrying folders as well.

Sweet, sweet, not much of a slip joint fella, but those I would definitely get some pocket lint on . . .
Be safe.

I really like the bottom one. I've never owned a slip joint, I was always afraid I'd close the blade on my finger somehow but I would definitely carry that bottom one!

You guys don't know what your missing! True, they aren't hard use knives but for cutting there really isn't anything better. I actually did a cutting test a couple years ago with a stockman, benchmades, Spydercos, etc and for all cutting tasks other than ones you had to use alot of force, the slippie won hands down. Give one a shot, I bet you it won't leave your pocket.

Won't leave home with out a slippie. People friendly, look good, and get the job done. Pretty much all I need. Took the Slippie challenge back in September and lasted over 6 months on just a slipjoint. I did switch up between a few but I just found a GEC Conductor pattern that Mike at Collector Knives had made up. The original pattern was a clip and a pen he had them made with a coping blade and removed the pen. Sweet knife. Bought two one in Ebony and one in Stag. Been carrying the stag and saving the Ebony for my son as a graduation gift. Only 16 more years until he will get it. I would post some pics but the wife left this morning for a concert and took the camera.

Is it because the blades are so thin? I know the thin blades on my Opinel slices things like butter.

i seen that style on the hillbilly knife show last night very sweet looking knife man!

yeah, people friendly all the way
you can take it out in front of kids to slice their apples and their moms won't bat an eyelid
very nice scoop, Chris!

I wasn't thinking this evening and took the kid to dinner. His chicken fingers came and before she had the plate down had my Strider PT out and ready... Oops really should have used the GEC but oh well. The PT and a Small Sebenza brought back clipped knives for me. Both great knives while a bit on the expensive side, but oh well I'm still in the black on buying, selling, and trading. I can see that going down hill though with seeing some of these BA/KFU knives. :)

Nabbed this one too. Have been carrying it for about 2 months now and have not switched out slippies since.

I actually picked up #6 on both scale materials so he and I could have the same numbers.

Nice looking "slippies" gentlemen. You have almost convinced me to try one first thing Tuesday morning and leave the Benchmade on the dresser . . . . .
Be safe.

nice -- Buck 301 Stockman w/charcoal scales rides in my pocket most days.
