check out what someone is selling as a police

That's a nice knife, actually. Assuming, that is, that it's not a knock off of some sort. I've had an early rescue (yellow FRN) for 14 years or so and it's still in great shape. It has some weird steel I can't remember the name exactly. Something like G2. Great steel.
 
yeah i checked my one of those little catalogues ( you know the ones you get with a knife ) and its a mariner. i think it would`ve been to old to have vg10
 
Either he has the wrong picture or the wrong description. As far as I know, the Mariner was discontinued before VG-10 was invented.:rolleyes:
 
recently saw an ebay auction where someone was listing a "Wayen Goddard" rare (only 50 made). With a picture of a Renegade C23BKP. I wrote the person and told them of the issue, and they wrote back saying the box their knife came in said Goddard, but the picture was the knife they were selling. I again informed them of their error, and they didn't change the auction at all or make a notation of the discrepancy. I filed an ebay complaint. I mean, c'mon... if it was an honest mistake, fine... But I even sent the seller several links with pictures and product infos for the knifes in question! Totally inaccurate. The sad think is, the Renegade was probably a more valuable knife... A point I made, but it fell on deaf ears.
