Check this... fake right?

The one you linked on ebay has the screw in the butt, that the thread you referenced above does not. I still think the one on ebay is legit.

The fourth picture of the knife on ebay clearly shows the screw in the pommel. The butt of the knife is laying on the sheath. Take another look.

Again, not trying to be difficult, but the forth picture is a side profile!!!!!! How are you able to see the screw in the bottom?? This is tripping me out!! All in good fun, no hard feelings, but seriously..... can you direct link me to the photo where you are seeing this:

If anyone is getting confused by this.... I had originally posted the wrong link to a real SOG DD..... fixed.

The ebay auction is not my auction, but I have owned two SOG Desert Daggers in the past. You can look at my prior posts if you want. I sold them here on bladeforums about a year ago. I just do not see anything that make me think the auction you linked is a fake. Hopefully someone else will chime in with their opinion.

I'm a jack ass. Original link was bad. Fixed. Now check it out, and I was not trying to be rude..... this whole dialog was humorous to me actually and I was really just wondering how we were seeing things so differently!! Sorry brother!!

ObliviousFool,
No hard feelings at all. It is all in fun discussing knives and trying to learn something. The pommel you posted of the fake SOG was all smooth and flat. The pommel shot of the knife on ebay, while it is an angle shot, you can still clearly see the hole in the middle of it where the screw is.

I know... the original ebay link in original post was to a real one for sure, but I fixed the link to direct to the one which I think you will agree is fake.

Now that your link goes to a different knife, I agree, that knife looks like crap.:thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn:

Yeah, that knife us crap. That cross guard looks awful. I'm 99% sure that all of the Seki SOGs that had metal cross guards had them soldered to the blade. For the few that had gray coatings, I think they may have used epoxy, but regardless, there have never been Seki SOGs with outrageous gaps like this fake DD.
