A friend of mine emailed me this link. It's hardly a new story, but I'd never heard of Dick Hoyt before. I found several other articles on a search, but this one has the video, too. Noone who knows me would ever accuse me of being lazy or selfish, but this guy makes me feel ashamed of how little I really do for the people I love.

I LOVE that story. I read it on another site, but this time I was able to save it!! That just makes me cry!! Talk about LOVE!!
 
Those are a couple of my favorite excerpts from that article. For some reason I couldn't help but laugh at the second one. It's amazing what people can do when there's enough determination.

This year, at ages 65 and 43, Dick and Rick finished their 24th Boston Marathon, in 5,083rd place out of more than 20,000 starters. Their best Time? Two hours, 40 minutes in 1992--only 35 minutes off the world Record, which, in case you don't keep track of these things, happens to be held by a guy who was not pushing another man in a wheelchair at the Time.

Yeah, the guy is definitely an inspiration.
One of the other articles I read on him said that while he was still working full time, he was working out 5 hours a day to get in shape.
Guess you can imagine why he might be divorced, but it sure shows the level of dedication to making his son happy.
