That is a VERY NICE folder, Mayo!, but it IS a shame that worms (or was it woodpeckers?) got to it and made all those holes!.:D.:D.

BTW...I know Chuck Bybee, and he is a GOOD guy, and a true gentleman!.:).

Must not look, must not look, too late!
That thing is a work of art alright, and I am willing to bet that it is WAY out of my price range!

Dont tell anyone!

They shoulda known not to send it to me if they wanted it to stay a secret!!!!! :)

Timascus was developed by Tom Ferry, Bill Cottrell and myself. Tom did the initial testing and almost burned down his shop, (molten titanium is very hard to control)! If you are interested in an up and coming knife smith look at Tom's knives. He is making some incredible damascus patterns and knives. I think he will have a multi year waiting list in a very short time.

Bill is a great machinist and welder. If he wants a tool he makes it. Some of the tools he made in his shop are, 2"x72" variable speed grinder, air hammer, hydraulic press, multiple forges, etc. Having a partner with 40 years of metal working experience is an advantage.

Several makers and friends have been sent samples. The April Oregon show is the official debut of Timascus. Watch the upcoming knife shows for knives using Timascus.

The picture below is a sample of polished Timascus bolsters. Tom made the knife. It is the highlight of my collection

Maybe we can bug Tom Mayo into polishing that big honkin Timascus TNT. :p
