fascinating but a little wierd. How bright is it? Can you read or work on an engine with it? Or is it mostly for signaling? Looks like a few microlights strung together.

In specific answer to your questions:

It is fairly bright for a LED light, the light is not focussed but more of an area light. Some of the modes are more useful than others.

You could read by it easily, working on a engine would be tougher as you would need it faily close to whatever it is you're working on.

I think it was one of the first microprocessor controlled LED lights.
