This thread is a pointer to a pro and con discussion of the reputation points system in the Service & Support forum. If this pointer brings in more people who are interested in that discussion that's a good thing, but let's keep the discussion all there in that thread to avoid confusion. :cool:

I understand that you seem to have some resentment regarding the rep points system. And it is understandable, you have been here a long time and have only one green chiclet to show for it.

However. In a brief perusal of your posting history I see that you have entered into very few to none of what might be termed more "controversial" threads here- excepting those of your own making. In my opinion this is probably why. If you want more little chiclets so much that you feel the need to post multiple threads about how much you hate the system then I must suggest that you lay it on the line. Wade into threads in the political forum, the "my maker is better than your maker" threads, and any thread involving cliff stamp and let your opinion be known.

that's what I've done. and I've got lots of lil green chiclets for my short time here despite having made very few "friends".

No pain no gain my man.

I agree with roughrider, er I mean rough edges.

Here's my top secret guide on how to pick up young green chicklets for an older guy:

- Post lots of nudie pix in the pirates cove, bigger tata's will get you more green chicklets chicklets.

- Go to W&C and write some funny, stuff.

- Write something pithy and to the point bit about something or some situation.

In some ways I both envy averageguy and feel sorry for him. He must have such a wonderful and fulfilling life that the only thing he can think of to whine about is some essentially meaningless feature on a knife forum. I, on the other hand, have a veritable host of things I could complain about.

Life can be so unfair at times .....

For those of you viewing for the first time be advised a number of posters here were some of the few to respond. As you can see they don't have much to say and their posts are of little consequence. If you have some serious points for or against don't be shy about posting to that thread.

Has it occured to you that the reason there are no responses "of any consequence" for the simple reason that virtually nobody, apart from you, thinks the subject IS of any consequence, apart from the opportunity to gain a few harmless laughs.
