Check this out

That is sweet as hell!!!!! I love that design you came up for that. Now you can write your jeep off as a business deductible on your taxes. If I was driving down the road and had never heard of you I would be right on your tail trying to get all the information I could off your tire cover!

Thanks guys. I've found as long as I've been selling knives, the big blades always draw the most attention. They were always the knives people would pick up and comment on.

I find it interesting that you say that. I was showing off some large choppers I had made and it was like the guys looking were afraid to handle them. If I was in their position the biggest are the first I want to handle. I guess not everyone can appreciate large pieces of steel.

chrisber, I think some people are intimidated by big knives. I've had the same thing happen. I'll hand a large knife to a non knife person and they won't take it or don't know how to grab hold of it.

I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble or to be overly negative - so please accept my apologies in advance.

I think there are a couple of questions to be considered:

1. Is it wise to advertise that a person might have expensive items like custom knives or weapons in a vehicle?

2. Wouldn't cops (perhaps city, maybe not country) pulling a vehicle over with a spare wheel cover like this become a wee bit jumpy and edgy?

I know we would like to express our passions for our hobbies, but my Dad taught me to keep a low profile in regards to guns, knives and other expensive things and not draw the attention of crooks or the scrutiny of the police.

It's just something to consider.

Great advertising - go for it! How about a bumper sticker to accompany it that says the following - "If you can read this your eyes are as sharp as my knives! "

I live just down the road and around the bend from Scott, and I think the only eye catching it would do with the local LEO would be a stop to order a knife from him ;). As for trips into the city, I think they would be a little scared to go near his Jeep :D.

Especially with this guy behind the wheel. :D Just kidding, Jmboz, you make a good point but I'm not really concerned with that. I don't ever go into the city. Spend most of the time out in the rural area I live in where guns, knives and gunfire are the norm. Most that know me know I'm a knifemaker, even some local LEO's.

I live just far enough away from the gun range, maybe about a couple miles, and it is soothing at night to fall asleep listening to the gunfire. I am really gonna miss Hazard county when I move.

Rumour spreadin' a-'round in that Maryland town
'bout that shop outside Whiteford
and you know what I'm talkin' about.
Just let me know if you wanna go
to that home out on the range.
They gotta lotta nice knives ah.

Have mercy.
A haw, haw, haw, haw, a haw.
A haw, haw, haw.

Well, I hear it's fine if you got the time
and the coffee to get yourself in.
A hmm, hmm.
And I hear it's tight most ev'ry night,
but now I might be mistaken.
hmm, hmm, hmm.

Ah have mercy.

Sorry, I love ZZ Topp.
