I'm really not liking the engraving. Looks it was done by an amatuer. The other embellishments look nice but on a whole it's overkill.

Ditto! (FWIW)

I'm going to have to disagree as well.

I like the understated simplicity and minimal elegance of a sebenza. The above looks like something that would go on the wall in a early 1970's red shag carpet bordello. (IMO of course)

The filework on the blade isn't too bad, imo.
Eventhough many Sebenzas are artistically enhanced at CRK and look nice, this knife here looks cheap, imo.

I think if you did that colored "thing" as a inlay instead of bolted on it would look very cool, the filework is nice though. The engraving looks a little shallow but it's hard to tell from pictures. Overall I think it's a good start on an idea but needs to be worked out.

Not much for this one myself. I think it would be better if the piece that is attached was gone. The engraving looks to have depth. Not an easy task to accomplish. I am curious as to how the blade was filed. Files tend to "skip" on heat treated steels depending on the Rockwell hardness. Hrmmm...Perhaps it was annealed? Would be interesting to know.

I really don't like that added on piece; makes it loook too gaudy. I DO like the engraving. But that piece has to go. Sorry!!!
