Today I had just started to warm up a blade when there was a problem with my torch! After a loud pop, I suddenly had flame at the wrong end of my torch handle. Scary seconds later I had both tanks off and fire out. Apparently over the years my acetylene line had backed off the threads and leaked gas. I’ve always checked the connection when installing new tanks but have not done the torch handle. Gonna need to change that habit I just wanted to share in case others out there might need to hear this.
