Yesterday, I went over and hung out with Andy and his father in law for a little while. Good stuff. His shop always makes me good and jealous. I do my stuff in a garage the size of his smallest workbench. Being over there in the wide open spaces with all the right equipment around gives me big stuff to aspire too. Not to mention, being around all those knives.

I got to play with the full line of Fiddlebacks and they're all wonderful. I hadn't gotten a chance to handle the Ladyfinger yet and I was very very impressed. That knife is just a perfect size little knife and a great design. The EDC and Hunter models were new to me too. The Hunter was bigger than I thought it would be, which was good. You get a lot of handle to hold onto, which I love. The EDC was super cool. It's perfect for its name. That would definitely be an all around knife that you could carry everyday. Between that and the Ladyfinger for EDC would be a tough choice.

I hadn't met Andy's father in law. Super cool guy. I can see why Andy has him around all the time.

Got my new Fiddleback shirt. Sarah made fun of me when she got home cause I already had it on. I tried to explain to her that I had been working down in my shop and got covered in metal dust and had to take a shower. Putting the Fiddleback shirt on was more a matter of laziness than anything else. I had sat it on the dryer and that's where my clean pants were so it was closer to me than the closet was so I threw it on. Why the hell would I go all the way to the closet for a clean shirt when there was one right there? She asked if I was going to start wearing his football jersey around next.:grumpy:

Of course, Andy being the awesome duder he is, he gave me a few things to help me on my knife making way to practice with. Homeboy is a generous dude. One day, when I'm doing my interview for Blade magazine :D when they ask, "so did anyone in particular really help you when you started out?" I'll say, "Yep... this is his football jersey." :p

I seriously laughed out loud on that one. Andy is a great guy and a great maker. Looking forward to meeting some of you guys in person at Blade.
