Joe (chisel) just dropped this off. It is around 150" x 1" cable that he got for no. It looks like we will be selling cable billets.

I might be getting a h-frame 30ton press for FREE, My brother is working on it for me. I figure that is a good part of my press right there. The bottle Jack is broken so the company might just throw away the whole thing. Cheaper to get a new one is there motto!:D :D :D

Rene; That will be cool, all you have to get is the hydraulics on the spread sheet that I sent you and make dies. I still think I would go with a 5" cylinder, the only problem the ram speed will be a little slower, unless you go with a bigger pump and motor.

well,, they will live on to help make many
more knives
:D  hey take one of the others and pound me out a spike if you would and
we'll start a collaboration knife, one of a few I hope
the spike is a B&A R R spike from right here in town.
,clang them together and hear the High carbon sing.

Can someone please tell a newcomer like me just what is so special about this cable steel. I'm still carving my blades out of a sawmill saw blade 8 foot long. I have a lot to learn about forging. :)

dartanyon; the cable is forged weld and made into a blade, used for blosters and etc. It does make a pretty knife.
Dan: I'll weld some cable up and grind a blade and you can finish it. It will be NECKA 1st collaberation.

Geoooorge
your private message mail box is full again :(
OK, pick a style that you want and go for it.
the others may want part of it too?
I sent you an-email also.

George,
I got the press I told you about delivered this morning.
It's it good shape, a few adjustment holes where a little out of round so my brother welded some steel plate around the holes and drilled new holes, every thing works fine. I'm so excited.....well now it will be just a matter of time!! :D :D
