Cheers fellas, wish I was there to buy you guys a pint or two or.........enjoy your weekend and don't get into any trouble :-)
Some serious weapons you boys are toting :-)

Pete

Cheers back! :D

... How'd you get pretzels from "here" across the pond?

(That Hanover is about an hour from me.)

Some "Traditionalists" you are. :p

Cheers, I'm enjoying a Friday evening beer myself right now.
And don't get arrested, showing your arsenal of dangerous weapons in public places :D

Awesome to see that picture! Hope you guys enjoyed the pub. Is this the first time you have met in person?

Well folks we thought your appreciate that snap.

We're only drinking halves, so our American folks don't sign us up for rehab! ;)

I'm having 'Broken Dreams' and Jack's having another 'Revelation'.

P - I paid import prices for those pretzels but they were worth it. Jack had a reet dab on with the Jalapeños though!

Nice you guys had a good time - a "Before-And-After"-pic of you two guys would have been nice ;)

Thom - halves? You mean half litres? That´s the usual size of a beer here in bavaria (at least) or even one complete litre... :D But after some of these, it´s getting hardcore somehow.

Oi mates, glad you're starting off the weekend properly! Wish I could be there to join you.
Tell you what, open invitation to the lovely town of Philadelphia, hosted by yours truly. This city is, by definition, a beer town; more brewers of fine suds in one locale than I've seen anywhere else! You'd love it.
Enjoy yourselves, the beers, and each other's company. Drink one for me!

The Hanover plants are about a half hour up the road from me. I stop in those all the time, especially for the pretzels. You need some more pretzels to go with those pints?

Reminds me of when my dear old pap asked me to get him a case of beer. I was in Hanover, PA, and didn't want to spend the high prices on booze at the state run liquor beer stores. Well, I figured it was a sign (no pun intended) when I ceased my pocket knife hunting, and found a liquor store called Case on main street, with the grand Case logo out front, long tail C and all. When I asked the guy at the counter if they had any knives for sale, he gave me a strange look (I deserved it, but I had to ask!). At almost 20 bucks a pop for a case of Keystone light, I decided to get my dad some beer in MD! Now, in MD, we're paying almost 20 bucks a pop for that same beer.

The guy at the counter made a joke that alchohol and knives don't go well together, he's never visited Bladeforums!

Since we are talking about Brits, I'm sure it's half pints ;)
So it would only be something between 0.25 and 0.3 litres I believe. (Just compare the glass with the White Owl, it's quite small.)

Dark Ale, please. Looks like you gents are living well. I would love to join you both on an afternoon of Pub traversing.

What a great way to kick off the weekend. Hope you boy's enjoyed yourselves and made it outa there upright:)
If anyone ever wants to have a similar outing in Portland, I'll play host!

Jack and Scruff,
next time just give me a call. I'm just a 3 hours low cost flight away from your table :D
High time for a BF Euromeeting

Fausto
