For anybody who has been holding off on a cheetlang due to the price, I've got a deal. Due to winter temperature changes, I have 4 cheetlangs with cracked handles of varying degrees. Black colored epoxy should solve the problem from an aesthetic point of view. If you want one, they're $89.00. Just go to the website and order a WWII - in the comment section tell me you want a Cheetlang with a crack instead and that's what you'll get.

Craig,

I know it's been some time since this post. However, this particular Khukuri has come up for discussion quite a bit, so I though I'd see if you have anymore of these laying around. That is, the cracked ones, either from inclement weather or delivery problems.

Due to my own carelessness I did not notice this post. I ordered a Cheetlang on 21 February. I could have had one with a cracked handle, fixed it up nicely and had money over to order a second khukuri of another type. Stupid me!
Craig, is there not a way to PREVENT the cracking before the damage is done - - some liquid we can put on the handles regularly to remoisturise them??

To prevent horn handle cracking, many people find that Hooflex hoof treatment is just the trick. That is just one brand, but hoof treatments that can be bought at your local feed and grain store will keep your horn handles in great shape. I use it once a month. Apply it liberaly and let set for a few days. Warming the handle with a hair dryer after application can aid in absorbtion. The stuff goes a long way as the horn does not absorb much. Good luck.

Thanks a lot for the kind advice. I will look for Hooflex until I find it! My horn handles shall not crack!

My problem is that we get a certain amount of cracked handles due to the 5 or so airplanes that our shipments go on before getting here - the temperature changes are hell on horn!

Craig--Do you have any of these left and what are the lengths?
