The cheetlang (AKA chainpuri ang khola sirupati) arrived today, and I want to thank you for making my week

. This is an incredibly well-balanced and comfortable khukuri. Fit and finish is simply first-rate by any standard. For those who didn't notice it when it was posted, here's a closeup, showing the beautifully fitted buttcap and a bit of the fullered area of the blade as well:

Now that is what I call a skull-crusher buttcap - and perfectly done, I might add, with a smooth seamless fit to the horn, and a fileworked keeper. I believe this may be my go-to khukuri from now on.

And I just sold the last of 10, so I didn't even get the chance to put this one up on the website! I'll order a bunch more with my next order, which is being faxed tonight. Delivery will be in a few weeks, as this order contains the USMC SN1s, and they need to be here in about 5 weeks. If the Cheetlangs will hold up the order, it'll have to ship without them, but not to worry - more are coming down the pike.
